The Gospel Made in Zion: Returning to the Original Foundation of Our Faith

The Faith Began in Jerusalem

Many believers know Yeshua as Savior, but not everyone understands that our faith not only began in Jerusalem, but also will continue in and for Jerusalem as an alignment of end time prophetic fulfillment.

The gospel did not start in Rome, Greece, or any other nation. It started in Israel among the Jewish people and through the Jewish Messiah.

According to John 1:14, Yeshua is full of grace and truth.

With truth comes order, and the order brings authority to a sustainable and fruitful stewardship in life and ministry.

Let’s dive into the true framework of our faith.

The Foundation: Torah, the Prophets, and the Writings

The foundation of this gospel is the Torah, instructions, the prophets, and the writings, collectively known as the Tanakh, Old Testament.

The renewed covenant in Brit Hadashah, New Testament, cannot be understood without this base.

Interpreting the gospel without the Torah leads to misinterpretation influenced by different cultures and nations, by the church fathers’ antisemitism throughout history, by pagan-rooted traditions in the church.

Yeshua Fulfills the Torah

Yeshua is viewed as the one who fulfills and teaches the Torah rather than annulling it, according to Matthew 5:17.

A central tenet is that life come through the Jewish people according to John 4:22.

The descendants of Abraham, the Jewish people, carry a mandate in their blood for their land, Israel, and the Torah, the Holy Scripture, by Brit Olam, eternal covenant.

Light to the Nations

And that life of the Jews is then giving light to the nations.

They have paid the price with their own blood throughout their generations.

Because of this, you have a Bible in your hand today.

But also, that Yeshua’s second coming will be possible to Mount of Olives in Israel according to Hebrews 9:28 and Zechariah 14:4.

The Gospel Made in Zion and the Land of Israel

The Gospel made in Zion is inherently tied to the physical land of Israel and Jerusalem.

It is believed that the word of Adonai and the Torah must go forth out of Zion, making the land inseparable from the message according to Micah 4:2.

Concerning the Jerusalem origin, the Gospel of Zion recognizes the first congregation of believers in Jerusalem as the starting point.

The Outpouring of the Ruach HaKodesh

It asserts that the power of the Holy Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh, was first poured out in Jerusalem.

Yeshua asked his disciples to wait in Jerusalem, Acts 1:8.

This is what the Adonai Yahveh says,

“This is Jerusalem, which I have set in the center of the nations.”
Ezekiel 5:5

Yeshua, the Jewish Messiah

The identity of Yeshua is a Jewish Messiah born in Bethlehem, the house of bread, from the house of King David.

He is the way, truth, and life according to John 14:6, and Yeshua is the exclusive foundation upon which a believer must build according to 1 Corinthians 3:11.

The Opposition: Replacement Theology

In direct opposition to the gospel made in Zion is replacement theology, which can be described as a five-headed monster that claims the church has replaced Israel.

This opposing view is characterized as being anti-Israel, anti-Torah, anti-Jewish, and anti-Zionist, and anti-Messiah, which basically is a spirit of lawlessness that Yeshua warned about in Matthew 24:12.

This also can be described as the spirit of Esau that for a stew sold his birthright in Genesis 25:32–34.

Esau said,

“Look, I’m about to die. Of whatever use is this to me, a birthright?”
Genesis 25:32–34

This is what religion is doing to people today.

No honor, no value, no life, no clear direction.

You see, compromise will cost your inheritance.

But the first love to Yeshua and obedience will make you willing to lose your life, and you will end up walking with your inheritance from the Heavenly Father, Abba.

Brought Near by the Blood of Messiah

As we now are talking about inheritance, the scripture also says in Ephesians 2:12–13,

“At that time, you were separate from Messiah, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers to the covenants of promise. But now in Messiah Yeshua, you who once were far off has been brought near by the blood of the Messiah.”
Ephesians 2:12–13

Through the blood, we are also near the commonwealth of Israel.

Avoiding Spiritual Shipwreck

Without this framework of faith, you will sooner or later experience spiritual shipwreck.

I believe God is restoring many believers to the Jewish roots of their faith.

He is awakening a love for the scriptures, a love for Israel, and a deeper understanding of His covenant purposes.

Adonai is calling His people back to the original foundation so that they may stand firm in the days ahead and avoid spiritual shipwreck.

Pray for Jerusalem and Walk in His Ways

Let us honor the Messiah of Israel, value the scriptures, pray for Jerusalem, and walk in the ways of the Lord.

May the Ruach Spirit of Truth open our eyes to see His plan from Genesis to Revelation and bring us into greater alignment with His purposes.
