Kavod and Yirah — The Path of Honor, Awe, and Glory

A Revelation for This Prophetic Hour

You can know the truth.

You can pray.

You can know the Bible.

You can strive to obey.

But without kavod and yirah, you can still miss something essential about the nature of Yahveh—and what He desires to form in you.

I believe the Ruach HaKodesh, the Holy Spirit, is calling us back to the old paths of the Bible walk: a walk of honor, reverence, Gospel Made in Zion leadership, spiritual parenthood, and the fear of Adonai.

This is not simply about learning two Hebrew words.

This is about discovering a pathway into spiritual maturity.

It is about understanding how honor positions you, how reverence prepares you, how spiritual parenthood restores identity, and how the fear of Yahveh brings you into greater dimensions of purpose.

The two Hebrew words we will look at are kavod and yirah.

Kavod means weight, heaviness, glory, respect, dignity, honor.

Yirah means fear, terrifying respect, reverence, and honor.

These two words reveal something powerful about how Yahveh desires His people to walk.

Now, let us unveil the revelation of Spiritual Parenthood.

Number One: Honor Spiritual Leadership

Number one, honor spiritual leadership.

1 Thessalonians 5:12 says:

“Honor those who are your leaders in Adonai’s work.”
1 Thessalonians 5:12

This Scripture establishes a principle that is increasingly being lost in the Body of Messiah: honor for spiritual leadership matters to Yahveh.

When you honor spiritual leadership, you position yourself to recognize and receive the grace Yahveh has placed upon that leadership.

Your personal calling can expand because you understand that your calling exists within a greater accountability.

When a leader is appointed by Yahveh and confirmed by the Body of Messiah, that leader carries an overall perspective of situations.

You may be seeing something that is true and important in one specific area.

But the leader may be carrying a broader picture.

The leader is looking at the whole community.

The leader is looking at the whole building.

The leader is looking at how your gift, your calling, and your revelation fit together with what Yahveh is doing among His people.

That is why honor is necessary.

Number Two: Your Gift Is for the Building Up of the Community

Number two, your spiritual gift is not only for you.

1 Corinthians 14:2 says:

“Likewise with you—since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, keep trying to excel for the building up of the community.”
1 Corinthians 14:2

Notice the purpose.

The building up of the community.

The Ruach HaKodesh does not give spiritual gifts simply so that individuals can display themselves.

He gives gifts so that the Body can be built.

I want you to picture an orchestra.

Every instrument has a sound.

Every instrument has a purpose.

Every instrument is important.

But the conductor or composer carries the perspective of the whole composition.

The violin cannot say, “I am going to play whatever I want because I have an anointing.”

The trumpet cannot say, “My sound is more important than everybody else’s.”

The instruments must learn how to flow together.

The leader helps bring the different sounds into harmony so that the whole community can hear something greater than what one person could produce alone.

That is spiritual leadership.

It is not about suppressing your gift.

It is about bringing your gift into divine order.

When Honor Is Lost, Something Can Be Lost

Failing to walk in patience is a failure of character.

And a failure of character can put your longevity in jeopardy.

When we dishonor leadership, we can miss the opportunity to bring what the Ruach HaKodesh has called us to contribute.

Something Yahveh intended to bring forth through us can be interrupted.

Something that was supposed to be nurtured can be abandoned.

Something that was supposed to mature can be lost.

There can even be a form of spiritual abortion when what Yahveh intended to bring forth is rejected before it reaches maturity.

Do you see the picture of how much honor can bring into your life?

And I have not even mentioned the Shalom that comes from a heart that honors.

Honor brings peace.

Dishonor opens the door to misunderstanding.

Honor opens the door to correct interpretation.

Why?

Because honor positions the heart to receive.

When the heart is positioned correctly, the anointing can help open your understanding, show you what Yahveh is doing, lead you in the right direction, and use you for His purposes.

Number Three: You Need Fathers, Not Only Instructors

Number three, you need spiritual fathers and mothers, not only instructors.

Apostle Paul says in 1 Corinthians 4:15:

“For though you might have ten thousand instructors in Messiah, yet you do not have many fathers; for in Messiah Yeshua I have begotten you through the gospel.”
1 Corinthians 4:15

This Scripture gives us another definition of leadership in the Gospel Made in Zion.

There is a difference between an instructor and a spiritual parent.

An instructor can teach you information.

A spiritual parent can help bring forth the person Yahveh created you to become.

Paul says, “I have begotten you through the gospel.”

That is the language of spiritual birth.

Spiritual parenthood carries a beautiful responsibility.

A spiritual parent can touch your nurturing need and desire.

They can locate you prophetically.

They can see something in you that you may not yet be able to see in yourself.

They can help restore your identity.

They can help restore your personality.

They can help restore your confidence in who you are in Yeshua.

They can help you become whole.

They can help you become mature.

This is the heart of spiritual parenthood.

Number Four: Orphanhood Produces Performance

Number four, spiritual orphanhood produces performance.

People will come.

People will go.

And sometimes nobody understands why.

They may attend.

They may serve.

They may receive teaching.

But eventually they disappear because something deeper was never established.

When the congregation separated itself from Israel, the Jewish people, the festivals of Adonai, and the Torah, beginning with the historical developments that intensified in the fourth century, a deep sense of spiritual disconnection entered the Body of Messiah.

The result has often been spiritual, emotional, and relational orphanhood.

People become fatherless.

And when people are fatherless, they often begin to perform.

They try to prove themselves.

They try to demonstrate that they can accomplish something.

They try to show everyone that they are important.

They try to establish their identity through achievement.

That is one of the common signs of orphanhood.

But sons and daughters do not have to perform for their identity.

They receive identity through relationship.

One of the beautiful things about true spiritual parents is impartation.

There is an oil they carry.

There is something Yahveh has deposited in them.

And through relationship, discipleship, correction, prayer, example, and spiritual covering, that impartation can help restore true identity.

It can restore who we are in Yeshua.

That is the heart of spiritual parenthood.

Number Five: The Spirit of Elijah Turns Hearts

Number five, the Spirit of Elijah turns the hearts of fathers and children toward one another.

Malachi 4:4–6 says:

“Remember the Law of Moses, My servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments. Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Adonai. And he will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers.”
Malachi 4:4–6

Look at the order.

First, remember the Law of Moses.

Then, Elijah comes.

Then, the hearts are turned.

The hearts of the fathers are turned toward the children.

The hearts of the children are turned toward the fathers.

This is a picture of restoration.

The Spirit of Elijah is connected to the restoration of covenantal order, identity, relationship, and obedience.

Within this restoration, the hearts of generations are being brought back together.

This is the manifestation of spiritual parenthood.

This is the restoration of fathers and sons.

This is the restoration of mothers and daughters.

This is the restoration of spiritual generations.

This is the Zion priesthood in manifestation.

Number Six: Yirah Is the Fear of Adonai

Number six, yirah is the fear of Adonai.

Now let us move to the second Hebrew word.

Yirah means fear, terrifying respect, reverence, and honor.

Mark 4:41 says:

“And they feared in great fear and said to one another, ‘Who then is this, that even the wind and the sea obey Him?’”
Mark 4:41

When Yeshua rebuked the storm, the disciples came into a greater fear of Adonai.

The storm revealed His authority.

The wind obeyed Him.

The sea obeyed Him.

And suddenly the disciples realized they were standing in the presence of someone far greater than they had previously understood.

Their fear became preparation for greater things.

This is yirah.

Yirah is not simply being terrified.

It is coming into an overwhelming awareness of the holiness, authority, power, and greatness of Yahveh.

Number Seven: The Fear of Adonai Protects the Community

Number seven, the fear of Adonai protects the community.

We see this in the account of Ananias and Sapphira.

They sold a piece of land, secretly kept part of the money, and then lied to the apostles by claiming that they had given the entire amount.

They lied.

And they died.

Acts 5:11 says:

“And great fear came upon all the assembly and upon all who heard these things.”
Acts 5:11

The congregation came into the fear of Adonai.

Why?

Because the holiness of Yahveh had been revealed.

The fear of Yahveh establishes boundaries.

It teaches us that the presence of Yahveh is not something to manipulate.

His holiness is not something to treat casually.

Genesis 3:24 speaks about the cherubim guarding the entrance to the Garden of Eden and the Tree of Life.

The integrity of Yahveh is guarded with fire.

There are things that are holy.

There are things that cannot be approached casually.

There are realms that require preparation.

And I want you to hear this prophetically:

The level of the fear of Yahveh is connected to the level of the purpose you live for.

I say it again.

The fear of Yahveh depends upon the level of purpose you live for.

Number Eight: Your Purpose Will Take You Through the Fire

Number eight, your purpose will take you through the fire.

There are realms of Yahveh that you cannot enter until the Ruach HaKodesh has processed you into the fear of Yahveh by fire.

Fire processes you.

Fire purifies you.

Fire exposes what is not of Yahveh.

Fire develops wisdom.

Fire develops discernment.

Fire develops character.

But when you come through that fire, you do not come out empty.

You come out carrying wisdom from the Spirit.

You come out with greater authority.

You come out with greater understanding.

You come out prepared to conquer through the fire.

You will no longer be controlled by the fire because the fire has processed you.

The fear of Yahveh prepares you to carry a greater purpose.

Number Nine: We Are Being Grafted Into the Original Olive Tree

Number nine, we are being brought back to the original.

As wild branches, we are being grafted into the original olive tree.

We are not floating around separated from the foundation.

We are being connected to the original olive tree.

We are being connected to Israel.

We are being connected to Torah.

We are being connected to the Holy Scriptures.

We are being brought back to the old patterns.

Back to the foundation.

Back to covenant.

Back to biblical order.

Back to the original olive tree.

And when you are grafted into the rich original olive tree, the level of your purpose increases.

Your calling becomes larger than yourself.

You understand that your ministry is not merely about your personal success.

You are part of something bigger.

You are part of a covenantal story.

You are part of a people.

You are part of a community.

You are part of what Yahveh is restoring.

Number Ten: Kavod and Yirah Lead You Toward Glory

Number ten, kavod and yirah lead you toward glory.

Kavod means respect, dignity, honor, glory, and riches.

Yirah means fear, terrifying respect, reverence, and honor.

When you walk in kavod, you recognize the weight Yahveh has placed upon people and spiritual relationships.

When you walk in yirah, you recognize the holiness and authority of Yahveh.

When these two work together, something powerful happens.

Honor positions you.

Reverence prepares you.

Spiritual parenthood nourishes you.

Leadership gives you perspective.

The Ruach HaKodesh processes you.

The fear of Yahveh matures you.

And the original olive tree gives you connection to the foundation.

This is how sons and daughters are successfully nourished.

This is how identity is restored.

This is how the orphan heart is healed.

This is how spiritual generations are connected.

This is how the Zion priesthood comes into manifestation.

The Pathway to the Glory Level

We are being brought back to the original.

We are being brought back to the old paths.

We are being called back to honor.

We are being called back to reverence.

We are being called back to spiritual parenthood.

We are being called back to the fear of Adonai.

We are being called back to covenant.

And we are being called back to the foundations of the Word.

When you walk in respect, dignity, honor, and under true spiritual leadership within the Gospel Made in Zion, you begin moving toward the glory level.

Your purpose increases.

Your discernment increases.

Your capacity increases.

Your maturity increases.

And your ability to carry what Yahveh has entrusted to you increases.

This is the hour for fathers to turn toward sons and daughters.

This is the hour for sons and daughters to turn toward fathers.

This is the hour for the orphan heart to be healed.

This is the hour for true identity to be restored.

This is the hour for the fear of Adonai to return to the Body of Messiah.

This is the hour for kavod and yirah.

The path of honor.

The path of awe.

The path of reverence.

The path of spiritual parenthood.

The path toward glory.

May the Ruach HaKodesh bring us back to the old paths.

May He teach us to honor what He honors.

May He teach us to fear what is holy.

May He restore fathers to their sons and daughters.

May He restore sons and daughters to their fathers.

May He heal the orphan heart.

May He restore true identity.

May He graft us deeper into the original olive tree.

And may He prepare us to carry His glory.
